Tryambak Guruji

The name of Acharya Tryambak Guruji appears in the list of Freedom fighters of Amravati district. He dedicated his life for serving nation and in work of Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal. Guruji was born in the year 1904. Listening to the patriotic speeches and songs he thought to himself that he too should do something for society and country. He had a thin physique. He joined Hanuman Mandal which was founded by Vaidya brothers in the year 1916-17i.e. from his childhood days. In those years Vaidya brothers use to say that “Body building is the basic need for patriotism.” From that time onwards Tryambak Guruji dedicated his entire life for Mandal and for propagating Traditional Indian Sports and Yoga. In those days Veer Vamanrao Joshi, Dadasaheb Khaparde, Nanasaheb Bamangaokar used to deliver inspirational patriotic speeches to the youths of the Mandal. These speeches made a great impact on young Tryambak Guruji. At the age of 14 years in the non-cooperation movement along with Shri Hariharrao Deshpande Tryambak Guruji left the School and completed his further School education from a National school. To know the greatness of Guruji, Shri V.D. Joshi wrote following article in Amravati Newspaper named ‘Hindustan’.

After passing the entrance exam from Tilak Maharashtra University in 1929 , it was difficult for him to earn in these circumstances. In the period from 1923 – 1925, he studied at National University at Karanja and Akot. He took Ayurvidya Visharad Degree
