Amravati District Amateur Gymnastics Association was established in the year 1972 with it’s Head quater at H.V.P. mandal Amravati. It was subsequently Registered under Public trust Act in the year 1975. The association started it’s work under the patronage of H.V.P. Mandal because the mandal provided it’s own Gyamnastic Hall with required Gymnastic equipment. The Association conducts coaching classes for the local school students everyday morning evening shifts. Gradually, this coaching classes increased significantly. The Association also started conducting coaching camps for the local as well as out side students during summer vacation’s. Also demonstractions of Gymnastic skills are arranged in local and rural school’s to popularize this sport’s. Some of the student’s started getting selected in district state level gymnastic tournaments because of their good performance.
This Association at time of its registration had following office bearers.

• Association organized Two Coaching Camps every Year. First Camp Stated at 15th April to 10th May, this Camp is jointly organized From Year 2000 by District Sports Office, Amravati and Shree Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal, Amravati and Amravati Districts Armature Gymnastics Association.
• Second Camp Stated at 10th May to 10th June, Organized by H.V.P.Mandal Amravati.

• District Level Competition every year.
• Division Level Competition in 2004 jointly organized by Amravati
• Districts Armature Gymnastics Association and LIC Amravati.
• Inter School District Level Competition every year.
• State Level Competition organized in year 2005.
• School’s State Level Competition organized in year 2008.
• Inter Collegiate Level Competition every year.
• 32 Junior National Artistic Gymnastics Competition in year 1992.
• Judges Clinic organized in year 2010 in H.V.P. Mandal, Amravati.
• Association organized Expert’s Guidance for the Coaches and Players Time to time
• Association always organized Demonstrations Tour and Gymnastics Skill are arranged to popularize this Sports.
• Association arrange Special Coaching for Tribal Students.
• Association arrange Special Coaching for Farmer’s Sons from year 2010.
• Maharashtra Government Organized Govt. Approved Divisional Coaching Camps from year 2010.
