Shree H.
V. P. Mandal, Amravati, established in 1914 and is registered
under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 and Societies Registration
Act 1860. It is a Voluntary, Social, Non-Political & Secular
Institute, managed with democratic principles & practices.
It is founded by Vaidya Brothers namely Shri. Ambadaspant
& Shri. Anant Krishna Vaidya with their colleagues, freedom
fighters on the broader principles of equality, fraternity
& social justice. Honorable National leaders like Mahatma
Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr. Rajendra Prasad visited
& blessed this organization. Martyrs Rajguru & D.S. Deshpande
were the two illustrious students of this institution. To
standardize and popularize India's traditional system of
physical culture and develop sport and allied science and
employ them strategically towards welfare of the masses, Institute
has timely organized various tours in India (J&K, Delhi, Calcutta,
Ahmadabad, Lucknow, Amritsar, Panji, etc.) as well as abroad
(U.S.A., U.S.S.R., Finland, France, Japan, U.K., Germany, Argentina, Brazil,
Poland, Denmark, Lithuania, Sri lanka, Indonesia, etc.) for Propagation of Indian
Traditional sport since year 1928. The
work of the Mandal has been appreciated by many organizations
and received honours in the form of awards and certificates
from time to time.German Dictator Adolph
Hitler has also honored this Institute with a medal for its
breath taking demonstrations in Berlin Olympics Games in the
year 1936. After Independence, to propagate traditional Indian
Sports and Yoga, the Mandal concentrated its efforts on the training
of teachers in Physical Education and Yoga, and gradually diversified its activities to the
field of Ayurvedic medicine, tribal and school education and
Engineering and Technology. The Mandal is the recipient of
prestigious "Aadivasi Seva Sanstha Puraskar - 1997 of Maharashtra
Government" for its work in tribal regions and the "State
Government Award -2002" for Educational institutions .

- Collaborated with Jan Dludosz University in Czestochowa
- Collaborated with Gerlev Physical Education and Sports Academy, Denmark

The 1st TAFISA Regional TSG Centre opens in Amravati, India
HVPM had signed MoU with the following two institutions during the year 2013:
1. Gerlev Physical Education Academy and Play Park Gerlev Denmark.
2. German Tours & Conferences (Event Management Company) Berlin - Germany. (GTC)
MoU has come into force and accordingly the first round of activities was carried out.
Dr. S.H.Deshpande Director HVPM had visited Gerlev Institute Denmark in October 28-30, 2013 to observe working of the institute , had meeting with the authorities of the institute and also addressed the students.
Mr. Lars Hazelton Director of the Gerlev Academy had visited the HVPM in December 23, 2013 and stayed in the institute till January 23, 2014. His mission at HVPM was to teach traditional Sports and Games to the students In return he also had some lessons in Yoga and traditional sports of India.
On an invitation from German Tours & Conference (GTC) Berlin two sportsmen -Malkhamb players had joined the programme of "Fireworks of Gymnastics" to showcase the skills of Malkhamb apparatus throughout Germany. About at 18 cities of Germany the show was held. This programme lasted for one month (December 24, 2013- January 23, 2014. Padma Shri Award for Shri. P.A.Vaidya
The General Secretary of Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak
Mandal (HVPM), Prabhakar Vaidya, has been bestowed with
the prestigious Padma Shri award. It is after 53 years that
an Amravati resident has been selected for one of country's
highest civilian awards.
The previous recipient from Amravati, Dr Shivaji
Patwardhan, too served as HVPM president. Talking to TOI,
the octogenarian Vaidya said that the award came as a surprise
to him. "It will inspire me to work harder for all sections
of the society, especially distressed farmers in the region,"
he said.

Dr. A.P.J. Kalam has felicitated Shri P.A. Vaidya on 19 Jan
2011 for his extraordinary work.

In rememberance of Late Nagoravji Jayramji Metkar, Shri Sant
Gadge Baba Social Work Award 2010 is awarded to Shri P.A.
Vaidya, Hon. Gen. Secretary on 22 Jan 2011 in Shri Sant Gadge
